Thirteen Toppest Theatricals 2010

13. Black Swan

Spectacular ending…I had goosebumps (or is it, swanbumps?) all over…WOW!

12. Toy Story 3

Nothing beats the original, but this is very, very close!

11. Rabbit Hole

Somehow, you can’t really share pain.

10. The American

This movie invites us to enter and experience the cold interior of an aging lonely hitman.

9. Bass Ackwards

“This film is dedicated to everyone learning to love themselves.” Simple, sincere and touching.

8. Submarino

Most of times, we just can’t escape our fate.

7. La Teta Asustada (The Milk of Sorrow)

Must women be afraid to live as women?

Would be nice if the ‘collapse’ brings those ‘world owners’ down together with the rest of humankind, so at least for once men ARE all equal.
But…what if it would only shoves us deeper under their feet, Mike?…

5. Inception

Nolan brings back his ‘prestige’. Like any magic trick, set ups are long, complex, but it ends up that the actual execution is basically short and simple. And like a good magic show, you won’t be left certain of how, and when, you’ve been deceived.

4. Greenberg

Stellar performance by Stiller!

3. Io Sono L’Amore (I Am Love)

If you really, really, have to make another bored rich housewife-low class guy immoral affair film, the least you can do is to make it as a gorgeous movie like this one.

2. Shi (Poetry)

What a grandmother wouldn’t do for her beloved grandchild?

1. El Secreto de sus Ojos (The Secret in Their Eyes)

Brave and beautiful movie about people who are too afraid to let go of their secrets.
