How do you like to shoot some hoops with prison-style ragdress as team jersey and a nun brigade as cheerleaders? Struggles on and off the game court as backdrop for battles of the sexes, in a girlschool, in Catholic church, and general early 70’s American society. If you want to hear the most overuse of ‘We Can’ jargon since Obama, and see the most unorthodox training method cliché since Rocky 4, this is your best bet. But by the end of the movie, with all due respect to the real Cathy Rush, you’ll agree that this should be more about the amazing girls rather than about the pep-talk-factory version of their legendary lady coach.
