2012 Oscar Best Picture Nominees: ‘Hugo’

CG Paris, English speaking and British accented Parisiens, slapstick-inducing Sascha Baron Cohen. And of course UK actor Ben Kingsley as Georges Melies. It’s a kids movie indeed. A 45-year and a 69-year-old kids who love classic history of moviemaking.

They should know better. Looking for trouble, it will come. Working at a creepy old inn, with a creepy co-worker, read creepy stories about that inn, mingle with its creepy guests, can get everything feels more scarier than they suppose to be. They’ll be spooked, but us audiences won’t. Because we know better.

Kill List

2011 British Independent Film Festival – Winner Best Supporting Actor.

US release date: February 3

Murdering people to provide for your family, a tough and risky job. Someone has to do it but you don’t have to overdo it. You don’t have to be an angry lunatic jerk all the time. After all, you’re not the toughest man alive. There’s a real probability that some strange-parading naked in the wood-cult people are somehow way crazier, tougher, and obviously much smarter than you.

The Help

2012 Oscar Best Picture Nominees: ‘The Descendants’

Is living as a clueless soon-to-be widower rich Hawaiian father of two daughters actually any easier than being commoners in other parts of America or the rest of the world? Well, of course not. But being the right man in the right place with the ultimate legal rights sure helps.

The Help

2012 Oscar Best Picture Nominees: ‘The Artist’

It’s a silent movie about the death of silent movie industry. Not so accurately portrayed maybe, but remember, it’s just a movie. Cartoonish? Predictable? Of course, it’s an ‘oldie’, right? Well, of course, it doesn’t have to be like that, but here we are.
But, just because it’s a new film that poses as an old silent film, an homage if you want, doesn’t mean it automatically is a great film. But, Jean Dujardin is really an entertaining good actor, at least, in this movie.
And last but not least, your lip-reading skill will be improved.

Ever grow tired of today’s wimpy international music trend? Let me tell you: You should. Now, here comes the cure. This album will transport you back some twenty years when growling vocals, chunky guitar riffs, and double-pedal drumming still ruled the world. Not the best, but better than the rest!
