Mexico, the official hell on earth. Everyone knows that. But what in hell does that big-moustached drug warlord really thinking, out of nowhere, suddenly putting so much interest, trust, and investment on Laura, random stranger, dime-a-dozen beauty queen wannabe? Just to make her life even more miserable? Just because he can?

Interesting. I haven’t seen this one yet but many people seem to think it will make the shortlist and even get a nomination.
The shortlist is out now, and it doesn’t end up there. But it’s not a bad movie per se, has good concept but flawed in story logic.
