2012 Oscar Foreign Language Film Submissions: ‘Miss Bala’

US release date: January 20

Mexico, the official hell on earth. Everyone knows that. But what in hell does that big-moustached drug warlord really thinking, out of nowhere, suddenly putting so much interest, trust, and investment on Laura, random stranger, dime-a-dozen beauty queen wannabe? Just to make her life even more miserable? Just because he can?

My Rating: 4/10
