2013 Oscar Foreign Language Films: ‘Pieta’

2012 Venice Film Festival – Winners, Golden Lion, Little Golden Lion, Golden Mouse, Nazareno Taddei Award.

Two strong right hands, slapping, crippling, and ultimately, killing. Fish, chicken, eel, rabbit, mother’s tears. Phone calls, families, love and absence of love. Seven dying home industries (a seven sins reference?) and pillow humping. But this isn’t a story about revenge. It’s about redemption. And ultimately, salvation.

My Rating: 8/10
